Woman killed in Quigley’s Point collision named locally



The woman who died in a road traffic collision in Quigley’s Point on Friday night has been named locally.

Donna McDermott, who was in her 30s, she died after the car, of which she was a back seat passenger collided with another vehicle at around 11.15pm.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 70s and a male aged in his 50s, were both rushed to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the other car, a young man in his late teens, was not injured in the crash.

The late Ms McDermott is the fifth person to die on Donegal’s roads in a number of weeks bringing the national total to 128.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
