Kilcar make Donegal SFC quarter-finals

Kilcar secured a top-four finish in the group stage of the Donegal Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure senior football championship – and with it – a place in the quarter-finals.

Sunday’s 2-17 to 0-8 win over Cloughaneely in Towney means they along with holders Naomh Conaill, Glenswilly and St Michael’s claimed an automatic place in the last eight of this year’s championship.

Eight clubs will contest the preliminary quarter-finals, among them Four Masters who beat Ardara narrowly on Sunday by 0-6 to 0-5.

They’ll play Killybegs in the prelim.

Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon face a relegation play-off after being soundly beat by Naomh Conaill, on a final scoreline of 4-11 to 0-5.
