It’s reported that Senator Niall Blaney has pulled out of the Donegal Fianna Fail Selection Convention.
The convention, taking place this Thursday in Letterkenny, is set to select two names to contest the upcoming General Election in Donegal.
Six people had originally been put forward ahead of the convention.
It’s understood however that Senator Blaney has now withdrawn from the race, leaving Cllr Michael Naughton and Cllr Donal Many Kelly, Minister Charlie McConalogue, former TD and MEP Pat the Cope Gallagher and Ben Harkin.
