Sligo County Council will hold a civic reception to honour Sligo’s Olympians and Paralympians who recently represented Ireland with distinction at the Paris Games.
The reception will take place this Monday, September 16th, in City Hall, Sligo, at 4pm.
The event will acknowledge the achievements of Olympic bronze medal swimmer Mona McSharry, athletes Chris O’Donnell and Lauren Cadden, boxer Dean Clancy and paracyclist Martin Gordon.
It’s understood McSharry won’t be able to attend the event in person on Monday as she is going travelling – but it’s hoped that she will be able to make a virtual contribution to the ceremony.
