Pat The Cope Gallagher selected by Fianna Fáil for General Election bid



Pat ‘The Cope’ Gallagher is to contest the upcoming General Election in Donegal South.

 

The former TD and MEP won out in the end at Fianna Fails selection convention last night, having being up against Cllr Michael Naughton for the nomination.

 

Gallagher got a vote of 169 from party members to 96 votes for Cllr Naughton.

 

He’s set to be on Donegal ballot paper for Fianna Fail alongside Minister Agriculture Charlie McConalogue who is to contest in Donegal North.
