New figures show that waiting lists have decreased at Sligo University Hospital.
The data has been published by the National Treatment Purchase Fund and shows that in Sligo, the OPD endocrinology waiting list improved by over 50% in August.
There’s been a reduction in the number of inpatients/ day cases treated at Sligo University Hospital with 2,485 adults treated there last month compared with 2,815 in 2023.
The number of children presenting as inpatients cases has also dropped with 116 treated in August of this year compared with 374 in 2023.
