Donegal collision victim named locally

Gardai are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a man died in a collision in County Donegal.

A pedestrian in his 80s, named locally as Michael Toland, was walking on the R238 near Clonmany at around 20 past 6 yesterday evening when he was struck by a van.

The road remains closed this afternoon as technical examinations continue, and local diversions remain in place.
