Surfing championships postponed because weather’s ‘too good’

This weekend’s Irish National Senior Surfing Championships in Bundoran have been postponed because of a very poor swell forecast.

While surfing conditions have been ideal at the Donegal coastal venue in the early part of this week, that’s set to change on account of the current band of high pressure.

Event organisers have opted to re-schedule the nationals for November 9th and 10th in Portrush, Co Antrim.

Championship director Gavin McCrea explained the decision to Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan.
