Sligo lose opening All-Ireland League game

Sligo suffered a 34-25 loss to UL Bohemians in Saturday’s opening men’s Energia All-Ireland League Division 2B game of the new season, played in Limerick.

The fixtures was the sides first meeting since last season’s promotion play-off semi-final, which UL Bohs won somewhat controversially by 13 points to 12.

UL Bohs led 24-10 in a strong first-half showing, but two Sligo tries from their Polish international Kuba saw Paddy Pearson’s team come right back into the game.

However, the home side added a try in the closing stages to assure themselves of victory.
