Independent Donegal TD, Thomas Pringle, has confirmed his intention to contest the next General Election.
It is not yet known when the election will be held, with Taoiseach Simon Harris recently saying that the Dáil will see out it’s full term into next year, amid speculation it was to take place in November.
Deputy Pringle was first elected in 2011 in the old South-West Donegal constituency, and since 2016 in Donegal after the boundaries were redrawn.
His decision to run was confirmed at a recent meeting, which was well-attended by his supporters.
