1,996 grants with a total value of €230m for new and improved sports facilities and equipment throughout the country under the Community Sport Facilities Fund, formerly the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme, were announced by the Minister for Sport on Wednesday.
It’s the largest funding ever announced for sports facilities in Ireland.
Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim sports clubs and organisations are sharing €23 million of it.
