There was a warm welcome for Ireland’s Paralympic gold medal duo Katie-George Dunlevy and her tandem rider Linda Kelly in Mountcharles on Saturday at the end of a tumultuous few weeks on the bike for both cyclists.
Katie-George’s dad John, is a native of the south Sligo town, which has had big affection for Dunlevy’s exploits in recent years.
As well as winning one gold and two silver medals at the recent Paris Paralympics, Dunlevy and Kelly collected two gold medals at the Paracycling World Championships in Zurich earlier in the week.
