Sligo County Council have voted to increase the Local Property Tax by 15%.
The decision will see the tax increase by 15% for the next five years.
The motion was voted on by county council members, which was upheld by 10 votes for and 8 against.
A counter motion to completely abolish the Local Property Tax was defeated.
