Carrick Hurling retained their Leitrim senior hurling championship title on Saturday in Drumshanbo with a narrow 1-18 to 2-13 victory over rivals Cluainín Iomaint.
It’s Carrick’s 38th senior hurling title – but they had to secure a strong comeback from their north Leitrim opponents.
Trailing by eight points at one stage in the second half, Cluainin closed the gap to two in the closing stages – but they were unable to restore parity as Carrick survived to win by two.
