Johnny Kenny named in PFAI Premier Division Team of the Year



Riverstown’s Johnny Kenny has been named on the PFA Ireland’s Men’s Premier Division Team of the Year.

 

Kenny of Shamrock Rovers has scored 12 goals so far this season in the Premier Division.

 

Two other former Sligo Rovers are also named in the team in goalkeeper Brendan Clarke of Galway United and Waterford’s Pádraig Amond in attack.

 

Despite an impressive season, no Sligo Rovers players have been named in the team.

 

League leaders Shelbourne have two representatives in defender Paddy Barrett and midfielder Mark Coyle, who is a native of Burt in county Donegal.

 

Mark Connolly, Michael Duffy and Patrick Hoban of Derry City are included, as are Shamrock Rovers’ Josh Honohan and Dylan Watts.

 

While Joe Redmond is St. Patrick’s Athletic’s sole inclusion.
