Calls for EU intervention to protect Killybegs fishing industry



Fears continue to be expressed for the future of the Killybegs fishing industry.

 

There are major concerns in relation to the overfishing of mackerel by Norwegian fishing vessels in Irish waters.

 

The Irish Fish Processors and Exporters Association have called upon the European Union to act and impose restrictions on Norway.
