A number of motorists were caught speeding outside Kilbarron N.S. in Ballyshannon.
Gardaí from Donegal Town Roads Policing Unit operated a speed check near the school yesterday.
A number of motorists were detected travelling in excess of the temporary reduced speed limit of 40km/h.
This special speed limit on the N3 in the area of the school applies between Monday and Friday during the school term at specified times. (Drop off and collection times).
Gardai are reminding road users that a number of other areas within Donegal also have various special speed limits in place in the area of their schools and asking people to familiarise themselves with them.
