Over 50 patients waiting on trolleys in north west

Over 50 patients waiting on trolleys in north west

There were 50 patients waiting for a bed at hospitals in the north west on Monday morning.

 

According to the INMO's latest trolley watch report, 27 patients were waiting at Sligo University Hospital with the exact same figure reported at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Nationally, 606 patients were waiting on trolleys in hospitals around the country today.

408 of those are waiting in emergency departments, while 198 are in wards elsewhere.

University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of people waiting for a bed, at 108.

It's followed by Cork University Hospital where 55 patients are on trolleys, Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe with 41 patients waiting and Mayo University Hospital which has 37.
