Customers in the north west are once again bearing the brunt of a price increase at the pumps.
The latest AA survey of filling stations has found petrol rose by an average of 4 cent in the past month, up to around 1 euro 80 cent a litre.
Diesel prices also rose by around 4 cent and now costs an average of 1 euro 77 a litre.
CEO of Fuels For Ireland, Kevin McPartlan says this adds further pressure to customers, particularly in border areas.
