Gardai in Carrick on Shannon are renewing their appeal for information in relation to what they now say was the murder of a Leitrim man last seen almost six years ago.
The last sighting of forty-eight year old Pat Heeran was in Mohill, Co Leitrim, on the afternoon of October 3rd 2011.
He was five foot nine inches tall, of stocky build with fair hair.
When last seen, he was wearing brown shoes, blue jeans and a brown jacket.
Gardai say this was originally a missing person investigation but is now being dealt with as a murder.
Gardai will hold a media briefing in relation to the case tomorrow morning at 11am in The Bush Hotel in Carrick on Shannon.
