In the Northwest there are 42 people on trolleys, with 7 waiting on a bed in Sligo University Hospital.
Nationally, there were 333 people waiting at hospitals across the country today – Letterkenny University Hospital accounts for 12% of this overall total.
The nationwide figure is 342, an increase of 19% on the same day last year when there were 287 patients on trolleys.
