Donegal’s potential ‘Super Eight’ opponents revealed

The potential make-up of Donegal gaelic football’s All-Ireland quarter-final ‘Super Eight’ group now looks clearer following Monday morning’s All-Ireland football qualifier round four draw.

The draw sees Connacht finalists Galway face neighbours and rivals Mayo.

Meath will play Clare, Cavan face Tyrone and beaten Munster finalists Cork will take on Laois.

As Ulster champions, Donegal will be in Group 1 of the Super Eights along with Munster champions Kerry. They’ll be joined by the winners of the Galway-Mayo and Meath-Clare round four qualifiers.

We now know that Donegal’s first game in the Super Eights on the weekend of July 13/14th will be in Ballybofey against either Meath or Clare.

Their second match will be against Kerry at Croke Park on July 20/21st – with their final group match away to either Galway or Mayo (Aug 3-5th).
