St Nathy’s & St Joseph’s reach women’s Connacht club final

Sligo senior women’s champions St Nathy’s booked their place in next Sunday’s Connacht intermediate club championship final with an impressive 0-13 to 0-8 win against Glenamaddy/Williamstown of Galway at Bunninadden on Sunday.

Nathy’s captain Áine Gormley was highly influential as she helped the Sligo girls move clear in the second-half to win by five. She spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Céira Meehan after the win.

St Nathy’s opponents in the final will be Leitrim champions St Joseph’s who produced a memorable display to beat Kilgass Gaels (Roscommon) by two points on a final scoreline of 2-17 to 4-9 in Carrigallen.

A regrading of the Connacht LGFA club championships in recent seasons means that the senior champions from Sligo, Leitrim and Roscommon contest the provincial intermediate championship.
