Donegal County Council to take legal action against Cllr Frank McBrearty



Donegal County Council is to take legal action against Cllr Frank McBrearty.

 

The Council voted to begin legal proceedings against the Independent Cllr due to “his wholly improper campaign of harassment and intimidation against members of the council and its administrative staff”.

 

Chief Executive of Donegal County Council John McLaughlin also told today’s meeting that the council solicitors wrote to Cllr Frank McBrearty on July 12th.

 

The vote was passed by 32 for, and two no-votes by Independent Cllrs Michael McBride and Cllr Ian McGarvey.
