45th Ballyshannon Folk & Traditional Music Festival official launch today



The 45th Ballyshannon Folk and Traditional Music Festival is being officially launched today.

 

Supported by ESB, the launch is taking place at the Cathaleen’s Fall power station this afternoon where a series of musicians who will be taking part in the event will be in attendance.

 

It’s getting underway over the August Bank Holiday weekend and remains the longest-running folk and traditional music festival in the country.

 

Eurovision winners, Rock n’Roll kids, Charlie McGettigan and Paul Harrington will open this year’s celebration with their 25th anniversary countrywide tour live in the Abbey Arts Centre, Ballyshannon on Thursday, 28th July at 8.30pm.
