Three second-half goals helped guide Naomh Columba into their first Donegal intermediate football final since 2011 following Sunday evening’s 4-11 to 2-9 victory over Fanad Gaels in Ballybofey.
Paddy J McGinley’s team now prepare for a county final meeting with Dungloe in two weeks time.
Aaron Doherty’s first-half penalty helped give Glen a 1-5 to 0-6 half-time lead.
They extended that advantage to seven points at one-stage in the second-half but a fisted Michael Sweeney goal kept the tie in doubt for a spell in the closing quarter.
However, Kevin McNern added a third goal for Naomh Columba which effectively put the contest beyond their opponents reach.
Glen celebrations at the full-time whistle sparked a confrontation between players and officials from both teams in front of the main stand but order was quickly restored.
