Former Sligo footballer Brendan Egan and current St Mary’s (Leitrim) senior manager Alan Flynn have been added to the backroom of new Offaly senior football manager Liam Kearns.
Kearns succeeded John Maughan in the Faithful County last role – and the Kerryman has drafted in Alan Flynn, who is preparing his St Mary’s Kiltoghert side for this Sunday’s Leitrim Connacht Gold senior football final against Mohill.
Flynn previously managed Castlebar Mitchells in Mayo.
It’s understood that Flynn will continue to operate with the Carrick club until their 2022 club championship campaign comes to an end.
Egan, who’s based in Dublin, has strong background in nutrition and works as an Associate Professor of Sport and Exercise Physiology in Dublin City University.
It’s understood he did some work with John Maughan last year -and again be part of the Offaly set-up in 2023.
