Donegal’s Eamonn Kelly named Young Rally Driver of the Year

Frosses Eamonn Kelly has been named as Motorsport Ireland’s Young Rally Driver of the Year for 2022.

The sport’s national awards for this year were announced at a ceremony on Wednesday and Kelly becomes the first local recipient of the Billy Coleman award.

Previous winners of the award include Craig Breen, Josh Moffett and Callum Devine.

Kelly, a son of former Irish Tarmac Rally champion Donagh Kelly, won the junior British Rally Championship title back in September – which earns him a supported drive in a World Rally Championship round in 2023.
