Two Leitrim county footballers will bid for Sigerson Cup glory this Wednesday evening when University of Limerick take on UCC in Waterford in the 2023 final of gaelic football’s premier third level competition.
Paul Keaney (St Mary’s) and Donal Casey (Leitrim Gaels) are both part of the UL squad for the final, which throws in at 7:30pm, and will be broadcast live on TG4.
Casey has been nursing a hamstring injury, sustained playing for Leitrim in the Allianz Football League, and so may not be fit enough to play.
UL reached the final last week with an impressive semi-final victory over DCU.
