A man has died following an incident in west Donegal.
It happened on the outskirts of Cnoc Fola this afternoon.
In a statement issued this afternoon, Gardai say that they are currently at the scene of an explosion at a location on the outskirts of Bunbeg.
Gardai have evacuated the surrounding area and the Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal has been requested.
The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.
The Health and Safety Authority have been notified.
National Ambulance Service and Donegal Fire Brigade are also in attendance at the scene of the incident.
