World Cup preview show comes to Hawk’s Well Theatre



Sligo will mark the Republic of Ireland’s first-ever appearance in a World Cup finals next month with a special evening of football talk and music on Thursday, June 29th, at the Hawk’s Well Theatre at 8pm.

Hosted by Jessica Farry and Dónal Ryan, the evening entitled ‘Olé’ will celebrate a historic moment for women’s football in Ireland in advance of the Women’s World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand.

Guests will include Sinead O’Donoghue (coach & player), Kathleen McNamee (Off the Ball) – while the musical contributors will include Eddie Lee, Joanne Stenson and Seamie O’Dowd.

Tickets for ‘Olé’ are priced at €20 and are available from the Hawk’s Well online.

There are also €10 tickets (half price) for adult members of all local clubs and it’s €8 for under-18s.
