Donegal passengers left stranded after Dublin Airport bus fails to show

Bus Éireann has apologised after two of its services were cancelled on short notice.

The carrier’s Expressway Route X30 service from Donegal to Dublin at 1am on Wednesday morning was cancelled due to ‘short notice driver non availability.’

In a statement, Bus Éireann say that ‘every effort was found to secure an alternative driver or provide an additional service, but due to the lack of notice this was not possible on this occasion.’

As a result of this, the Dublin to Donegal Expressway Route X30 at 6.30am was also cancelled.

Pre-booked customers on this service were notified of the cancellation via email at 3.25am and offered a full refund. Those customers were accommodated on the next service to Donegal, which departed at 8am.

Bus Éireann has sincerely apologised for the inconvenience caused by the cancellations and understands how frustrating cancellations are for customers, particularly, when travelling to and from airports.

Bus Éireann says it is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and has been in contact with all affected customers.
