Molloy & McHugh head up Donegal manager interview panel

Donegal’s 1992 All-Ireland winners Anthony Molloy and Martin McHugh will be part of a five-man committee which will find the next senior football team manager.

The five-man group was ratified by the county board on Tuesday evening – and will also include Chairperson Fergal McGee, Secretary Declan Martin and Anthony Doogan.

The five will lead the search for a successor to Aidan O’Rourke, who stepped down as interim boss following Donegal’s championship exit against Tyrone last month.

Donegal GAA has confirmed that there have been nine expressions of interest in the manager’s job to date.

The deadline for expressions of interest passed last Friday.

The selection committee can also ‘headhunt’ prospective candidates – beyond this list of nine candidates.
