Poor Sligo Rovers lose 2-0 at home to Pat’s

Sligo Rovers suffered a 2-0 home defeat to St Patrick’s Athletic in Friday night’s SSE Airtricity Premier Division game at the Showgrounds.

First-half goals from Chris Forrester (pen) and Sam Curtis gave Pat’s a comfortable win – and a result which moves them to within one point of Premier Division leaders Shamrock Rovers.

David Cawley missed a stoppage time penalty for Rovers to compound an unhappy night for the home team.
