All-Stars unveil American recruits for new Superleague season

EJ Sligo All-Stars stepped up their preparations for the new basketball Superleague season on Monday with confirmation of the signing of point guard John Williams Junior from Florida International University.

The 6ft 4inch American, who’s originally from Augusta (Georgia),  joins from FIU where he featured in all 32 of the University’s collegiate games last season.

Williams arrival follows that of Ronald Blain who has also signed onto the All-Stars roster for the new season.

Blain joins from UK NBL aside Worthing Thunder where he averaged 14 points per game last season – and helped them reach a Division 1 league final.

Blain is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University and this will be his fourth season in pro basketball.

The new men’s Superleague season begins on September 30th.
