Donegal’s Erin McLaughlin called into Ireland soccer squad



Erin McLaughlin’s role in helping Peamount United clinch the women’s SSE Airtricity Premier Division title has seen her rewarded with a call-up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad for the team’s upcoming back-to-back Nations League matches against Albania.

McLaughlin, from Culdaff in Inishowen, is one of two Donegal natives named in Eileen Gleeson’s 26-strong squad – striker Amber Barrett is the other.

Ireland play the Albanians at home on Friday, October 27th in Tallaght Stadium before travelling to Shkoder for a game on Tuesday, October 31st.
