Health Minister ‘concerned’ over daming letter on Letterkenny Hospital



The Health Minister is said to be ‘concerned’ over a letter he recently received about Letterkenny University hospital.

 

The letter, penned by almost 80 GPs highlights grave concerns over the current conditions at the ED and was subsequently backed by 11 consultants.

 

The issue was raised in the Dail this afternoon by Independent TD Thomas Pringle to the Tánaiste Michael Martin.

 

The Tánaiste outlined the works that have been undertaken at Letterkenny in recent years, but Deputy Pringle says that’s mainly because the hospital was flooded, and despite that work, the hospital is still in crisis.
