Sligo hosts final race meeting of 2023 this Friday

Sligo hosts its final race meeting of the 2023 season this Friday, October 27th, with a seven-race afternoon national hunt card at Cleveragh.

Jack Kennedy and Paul Townend are just two of the star names who’ll be riding at the final fixture of the year.

Local trainer Mark McEniff saddles three entries on Friday, including Evan’s Secret in one of the feature races, the John Thomas McNamara Series QR maiden hurdle at 3pm.

Former Sligo gaelic footballer, now part-time trainer, Fintan Feeney, trains Rockon Henry, one of the entries for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle at 10-past-four.

The going at Sligo is soft, yielding in places.

The first race on Friday is at 1:50pm.
