It’s been confirmed that Health Minister Stephen Donnelly is set to visit Letterkenny University Hospital next week.
He’s expected to meet with both GPs and consultants after they flagged major issues of concern at the Emergency Department and other areas in the hospital.
Some weeks back, GPs and consultants had requested the Minister to visit the hospital to see the extent of the crisis first-hand.
Meanwhile, an expert team which had been sent to Letterkenny Hospital are continuing their investigations into the matter.
The Minister is due in Donegal this day week and will turn the sod on the new 110 community hospital in Letterkenny as part of his visit.
