Long-serving independent Councillor Gerry Dolan has confirmed that she will not be contesting June’s local elections.
The Ballinamore Municipal District Councillor has been a member of the local authority since 1991.
Councillor Dolan is one of the longest serving non-party representatives in the local authority in Leitrim.
Councillor Dolan is the only Independent representative for the Ballinamore Municipal District, attentions will now turn as to who may put their name forward as a candidate for the elections.
