Two Sligo councillors attend last meeting



The Sligo-Strandhill council meeting said a goodbye today to two retiring councillors in Councillor Sinéad Maguire and Councillor Rosaleen O’Grady.

 

 

The two Councillors have stood for 10 years and 25 years respectively and are now stepping back from political life ahead of the local elections in June.

 

 

In their final meeting, respects were paid by fellow Councillors and well-wishes were given for the future.

 

 

Councillor Maguire wanted to give thanks to her family and colleagues for their support.

 

 

While Councillor O’Grady reflected on what her political career meant to her.
