The public are being reminded to register to vote ahead of the local and European elections in June.
People can register to vote on checktheregister.ie or by filling in the relevant form at their local authority.
Those who haven’t registered before, have recently moved address or registered once before but aren’t sure if they still are, you can check online at the above website.
First-time voters often do not know they have to register and so may miss the deadline or turn up to vote only to be turned away.
This year’s local and European elections take place on Friday, June 7th.
