23 searches, led by the Criminal Assets Bureau, have been carried out across Donegal and west Dublin.
It’s understood two properties in West Donegal and a premises in Letterkenny were among the raids.
70 gardaí were involved in the raids yesterday that were part of an ongoing investigation into the assets of people suspected of being involved in drug trafficking on an international level.
A Volvo was seized and over 70-thousand euro in a bank account was frozen, while electronic devices and financial documents were also taken.
Gardaí say the organised crime gang involved also operates in Scotland, Spain and the United Arab Emirates, and it’s understood that they have extensive links to Donegal.
