The HSE has confirmed that it hopes to have additional beds open at Ballyshannon Community Hospital in the coming weeks.
This will mark the second phase of the hospitals opening plan.
Recruitment for the Hospital is actively ongoing with a number of campaigns recently being relaunched.
HSE Management say that they continue to engage with local staff and their representatives supported by the WRC.
It is intended that the HSE will be in a position to open additional beds in a long stay unit in the Hospital in the coming weeks.
This will mark the second phase of the hospitals opening plan, with the first phase of the opening of the new facility having taken place in February, when the existing 26 residents in the community Nursing Unit based at the Rock were transferred to the new facility.
