Sligo is one of the cheapest student towns in Ireland, despite a slight increase on costs from last year.
The cost of going to college in Sligo is up 4% on last year but is still the second cheapest place to attend third level education.
According to Switcher.ie’s Student Cost of Living Guide 2024, the annual average cost of going to college in Sligo is just over 13,700 euro – up just over 500 euro on the previous year.
The report also shows average monthly costs for a student in Sligo come in at just over 1,190 euro.
It costs almost six thousand euro less a year to go to college in Sligo rather than Dublin, which is Ireland’s most expensive student town.
Letterkenny remains the cheapest student town this year, costing just under 13,150 euro a year, but still a rise of 3% on 2023.
