Just one Garda has taken up a new position across the Sligo-Leitrim and Donegal divisions.
The appointment has been confirmed in the latest set of appointments and allocations published by the Garda Press Office.
Superintendent Thomas Colsh has transferred to Carrick-on-Shannon.
In a statement, Gardaí say the restructure reflects international best practice as well as the realities of modern day policing in Ireland, the changing nature of crime and population trends.
It included restructuring at National, Regional and local levels to provide a greater focus on community policed based on local needs.
