Gardai have confirmed that the main Inver to Killybegs road reopened late yesterday evening following a serious crash there on Sunday morning.
A woman in her 80s remains in a serious condition in Sligo University Hospital following the two vehicle collision.
A man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s were also taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of their injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Gardai are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
