Ocean FM has received a total of 8 nominations in this year’s IMRO National Radio Awards, across News, Current Affairs, Sport and Entertainment programming.
In sport, both Austin O’Callaghan and Dónal Ryan have been nominated as Sports Broadcaster of the Year.
The Final Whistle has been shortlisted as Best Sports Programme.
While Rio Ferdinand’s visit to Sligo Rovers has been nominated as best Sports Story.
Niall Delaney has been nominated as Speech Broacaster of the Year, while the North West Today show is shortlisted as best Current Affairs Programme.
Ocean’s news coverage of the tornado which hit Leitrim is nominated as best News Story.
And Ocean’s feature on the Chuck Berry concert in Ballisodare is nominated in the Music Special category.
The awards ceremony takes place in the Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny on 4th October next.
