Multiagency operation launched at Strandhill Beach



A multiagency operation was launched at Strandhill Beach yesterday after three paddleboarders were thought to be in difficulty.

 

Sligo Bay Lifeboat was requested to launch by Malin Head Coast Guard at around 1.25pm yesterday afternoon.

 

Rescue 118 was also on the scene.

 

A member of the public raised the alarm, after fearing that the the paddle boarders were being blown out to sea.

 

The Lifeboat launched but was then stood down as all three had made it to shore safely.
