Sligo’s accommodation crisis to be raised at FG think-in



Sligo’s student accommodation crisis is expected to be topic of discussion at Fine Gaels think-in today.

 

More than 70 Fine Gael politicians and general election candidates are in Co Offaly this afternoon for a two day gathering ahead of the new Dail term.

 

Controversy arose late last week following confirmation that the owners of Milligan Court in Sligo town have been given the green light to house almost 180 asylum seekers.

 

Questions now remain whether a similar application from another apartment complex – Benbulben Court – will be accepted.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM news, Fine Gael Deputy Frank Feighan says he will be raising the matter again with Taoiseach Simon Harris today and hopes that some sort of resolution can be found:
